Congratulations Diamond Kids!
Club News
Tuesday, 09 June 2009
Congratulations go out to all of the kids and families who participated in the Diamond Kids Triathlon in Blue Diamond on Saturday. Heather and Jared Fischer owners of Las Vegas Cyclery are behind this great event. This year there were 300 kids from around the community that participated, they were really fun to watch.

The Club went out basically to support athletes - show our colors, intive people to our July 11 mini-tri and watch. Heather said that many of the families ask about other events that kids can be involved with and she felt comfortable with our club's mission and event performance.

Thanks Heather and Jared!!

Nellis AFB Course Ride Report
Club News
Tuesday, 09 June 2009

We were contacted a couple of months ago regarding the possiblity of doing a duathlon or a time trial at Nellis AFB. We were honored and excited about the possiblity of doing something with the Air Force men and women. Today several club members went for an exporlatory ride out there with air force cyclists and triathletes, an opportunity most of us never get. The scenery was terrific and roads are well paved and almost deserted. There are a variety of courses that could be laid out. The Air Force was having an exercise so there were planes taking off all the time - as we returned we were momentarily under the flight path - an F-16 makes a lot of noise taking off. The American flag on our jerseys never looked better.
